GOLDEN FIELDS
There are a few spots like this around Ipswich and the Scenic Rim and they never miss.
Dreamy light, open space, nothing to distract the kids. just room to run, throw a blanket down for a cuddle, play and be completely yourselves.
The aesthetics are on point whatever the season, but more importantly it’s a spot where we can turn anything into a game… and fingers crossed if it burns off some of that bedtime energy. ( Win, Win!)

CREEKS
If you don’t mind going barefoot and getting your tootsies a little wet, this is your spot! Just outside of Ipswich with a couple of great spots around Fernvale and over in West Brisbane.
Shoes come off, kids start wandering, dads attempting to skim rocks, mums keeping one eye on the toddler so they don’t go swimming in the first 15 minutes. And if they do… honestly, its no stress. It will be one of this things you’ll laugh about in years to come.
No one will be standing still, There'll be no over thinking and not an ounce of pressure. Just a really beautiful afternoon soaking up your family.

PINE TREES
It’s warm, it’s earthy, it’s moody… A magical location with a bit of everything going on, all in the one spot.
You’ll be twirling amongst the pines, playing hide and seek, running between the trees, collecting sticks (which let be honest, will probably turn into a full-on stick fight at some point!)
Once all that energy’s out, we’ll lie in the grass, slow down for a minute and just appreciate that second of peace ... you know, the one that lasts all of 3 seconds!

At the end of the day, it’s about picking somewhere your family will actually enjoy being. Whether that’s running wild in a field, exploring a creek or wandering through pine trees… forget the Pinterest board, pick somewhere you won’t be trying to convince the kids to behave the whole time and trust me, they'll be raving about long after it's over!
