Come on now… we all know Queensland has the best weather in Australia.
Lucky for us! There isn’t really a bad time for family photos in Queensland!
One of the perks of living here is we’re not spending half the year layering tiny humans into seventeen jackets just to leave the house. We get beautiful weather basically all year round.
Even in winter, Queensland winter is more “throw a cute knit on the kids” and less “everyone’s crying because they’re freezing.”
So if you’ve been putting off booking family photos because you’re waiting for the “perfect season”... this is your sign to stop overthinking it.

Okay yes, Queensland summers can be spicy but here’s the thing people forget:
By the time golden hour rolls around and that beautiful afternoon breeze kicks in, everything softens.
The harsh heat settles. The sky goes glowy. The kids stop melting into puddles..... Summer sessions can be magic.

Winter sessions are gorgeous because the sun sets earlier, the temperatures are milder and everyone’s generally a little less sweaty and overstimulated by the end of the session.

Too Be fair In Queensland, spring and autumn are pretty similar!
You still get those beautiful warm evenings, gorgeous golden light and comfortable temperatures without the full intensity of summer.

These seasons are kind of the sweet spot. Not too hot, not too cold, just easy.
